Turned up at a job yesterday, and it`s a bit of an unusual one. A concrete floor, with metal ducting for cables/floor box`s.
The spec was done by Uzin.
Over the ducting, we rolled some polyurethane adhesive/primer, and laid some scrim tape into it.
Then laid water mix screed over the solid floor, and added fibres to the ducted area`s.
Personally, I don`t think it will be strong enough, and I would have liked to seen the voids filled.
Any one used this system before ?

    It is mate yes.
The whole system is Uzin, and was specified by them.
To be honest, I had some issues with what they had specified, and queried them. We ended up changing some product about, but still used there materials.
I expected the scrim tape to be tacky on one side, but it was n`t.

Did it stick to the primer or end up floating in the screed ?

That was the first thing I said. They had sent a brown primer, which was supposed to hold the scrim in place. (you can see it in the first picture)
I applied it, and there was no tack at all, so I abandoned that idea.
I spoke to there technical, and they said a Polyurethane product should be used. I picked some up this morning, and rolled it on, then went into it fairly wet. Then rolled over again. Left it to tack, then rubbed it over with a carpet tile.
It did hold, and when I laid the screed, it lifted in one small area, about 3" long.

It`s the Calcium Sulphate one, NC118 I think.
It went off super quick, I really struggled to keep a wet edge, but looked smooth enough.

Well, after I told Uzin about my issues with how to stick the webbing down, my next problem was the original water based screed they specified, over a floor which already had some kind of latex on it.
They kind of back tracked, and said the floor would have to be ground back to clean concrete, but as usual, no time in the programme, or money for it. (to be fair, it was buried in small print, on the spec)
I suggested Na or 1200, but to keep the whole system Uzin, the 118 was suggested, as it is stress free.

Not my job by the way, just labour.

Think that's the one I used the other week. White finish.
