Hi guys, anybody got any tips or advice about laying engineered over a water system, and good materials to use?
First of all, make sure the concrete is dry enough and level. Don't let the client force-dry the concrete by switching on the UFH full tilt! They have to follow certain steps to get the UFH system and concrete ready for you to install the wood floor, see here for start up tips (there's a guide you can request half way down the page). Always use flexible adhesive (Mapei P990 is our favourite) and a correct notched trowel. Then after you installed the floor your client has to follow the further steps in start up the UFH system again. Make them sign a form they will follow these steps so you're not liable for a failing wooden floor due to ill treatment of the UFH system!
