I seem to struggle with my scribing and it's without doubt the thing that slows my day down the most. I wasn't fortunate enough to ever shadow any former work mates and have only really been shown the standard 'full tile on top of last tile' method. I've seen the amount of tools available for scribing, recess scribers, dividers, profilers, bar scribers, pin vices, profilmasters etc. It would make my day a lot bloomin easier if I knew how to use tools like this to make the job go quicker! Is there any 1 day courses for this, or one that includes a big lesson on scribing?
we cover scribing on all lvt / vinyl courses. However we only do the basics unless someone on the course wants to see a bit more which we will then cover. Normally we cover- Bar scribers Scribing around curves (for boarders) paper templating Under and overs we can also offer a bespoke course for you.
