what do people aim for on productivity with products like solid wood, lvt, laminate etc ? Eg one laminate fitter on a job i quoted said 2 hours to fit 19 m2 in an awkward (corner house so odd shape) room. while i would have said longer but it might just be me not doing it regular.
Dont think there are any guide lines really. Each job needs to be judged on its own merits, and then, it depends what fitter you send there. I think the only time a job can be fairly judged, is on repetitive work, like new build. Then if a fitter completes 5 units in a week, its fair to say it will be 5 the next, so long as the plots are similar, or the same
the fella got the job and apparently had it done in just under 3 hours (I ended up doing some other bits in the house).
Have to agree with neilydun. Depends on the job really. New builds are easy to work out but sometimes if your uplifting existing flooring you never can tell what it will take until you get your teeth into it. I always over estimate to allow for additional problems should they arrise.
