Anyone else struggling with power floated floors, MVS doesn't grab to the subfloor, it seems 95% of the floors we work with are power floated. Question is do we have to use a grinder to create a key in a power floated floor, it's been put to us that we might be able to use a copper disc??(With a floor sander/spinner) In our opinion it's not strong enough to create a key on the power floated floor? Any suggestions
I’ve always had to grind it to open them up. Don’t think a copper disc will do anything but scratch the floor We did a few warehouse years back and we used uzin 404 straight to the power floated floor. Worked ok.
They use to have to be shot blasted. Once you open the surface they can release a lot of moisture so likely need a dpm system. Get the manufacturer to spec it
