I Have a customer who wants plain carpet on the landing and stripe on the stairs. What looks better, plain over the first riser or just over the nose ?
I've allways done plain over the nose and the riser to the landing in stripe. Best bet though is to allow enough to do it both ways, then let customer decide
Cheers mate. Tried to talk her into stripe on the landing. It's an ideal landing and stairs. Small landing 3m x1.5 and a straight flight , not even a bull nose !!
This plain with stripe seems to becoming rather popular. Same as trimmer for me too but surely it's down to the customer?
Im from near aberdeen and this is very popular up here jist now. Me and my fiancees just bought a pad and im putting a stripe on the straight stairs and top landing. I would have put a plain in the hallway but would have to be a beige colour to go with the stripes but im not having that right off the main entrance. Going to put down an lvt i think.
But i would try push her towards taking the stripe up the riser and use the maestri and take the top landing over the nose.
Same, whenever I bring landings over to meet a runner I always suggest the customer has it under the nose and the runner starting on the riser of the firs stair but some like it fully covered.
