Mixer was working fine last time I used it (before today).
Had 4 bags of fast track 30 to mix today, it started struggling, sparking and giving off a burning smell.
Got 18 bags of renovation to do friday, will have to pick up a replacement.

Anyone got any suggestions for a reasonable priced one?

I just get the cheap ones from b & q or wicks an they last a lot longer than the £100 ryobi one I blew up

Spend a bit more, and get a Refina mixer. The 2 speed one.
    Great bit of kit.
I was using my Bosch drill for years before I got one, and although I mixed thousands of units with it, the Refina one is miles better.

Mine was a 2 speed with variable speed one. Admittedly only a cheapie one though.
I'll probably stop in wickes and get the 110 one they've got (£79.99).

Would love a go with one with a double whisk just to see how quickly it would mix a bag
