hi all we have had lvt laid over the last ten days and notice some of the planks are starting to come up and the floor in the hallway has some bumps on it plus where the ply meets the concrete you can feel it when you walk over it could someone tell me whats wrong with it? thanks gary
would it be ok for me to send some pictures to you and you can tell me where he has gone wrong when we put a ball on the floor it rolls all over the floor plus as the week has gone on more bumps are coming up? thanks for you help
hi mate finding it hard to send pictures will try again later.the bloke is coming back next week what do you think is making them bumps come up? thanks gary
Oh no, you can clearly see hes used a white stick to spread the levelling compound. The prep is awful. All needs taking up and redoing
white stick? why are bumps not all over the hallway floor? plus the floor is part floorboards and part concrete
because he might have got lucky....or someone else did that bit for him Clearly poor prep, nothing other than take up the flooring and have it prep'd properly
should have he self level over the plywood because you can feel where the plywood meets the concrete?
Not always necessary but good practice to. We usually ply the wooden areas screed the concrete, feather the two into each other and then put a screed over everything
