Yep, Blade is square edged so never needs changing it is also dust free as when it cuts it is a chunk of material not dust, down side is that its only good for straight cuts, the edge of the cut is not as neat as a proper blade but as its under the beading then no problems anyway.
Its very fast, lots faster than a power tool. . Very safe also. No dust and you never need to change teh blade. I had the very first one maybe 8-10 years ago for testing, looked at it and thought what a heap of junk, but it really is pretty good. Im still using teh original and it must of saved me thousands on blades. You still need your Festool for running along the length and any angles tho.
No, it can only cut across the width. It can only cut straight also. So if you needed say a 10 degree cut it cant do it. Purely for straight lay only.
Had a laminate one about 10 years, got the magnum shear about 6 months ago, great for engineered boards.
I got one, good tool its doesnt look like it should cut at all but it does a lot quicker and less mess, but you will still need your jigsaw for the long and fidly cuts
