I did a largish bathroom in this early this week and was horrified to see just the roughness of the knees in my trousers left minute scratches. Luckily I'll get away with it as the light in the bathroom doesn't show it up especially after I gave it a little polish with a cloth. Coincidentally a mate of mine called me the next day as he had fitted them in a kitchen and the same thing happened with one tile but he wasn't as lucky as the light from the back door made it visible and he's having all sorts of problems due to having no tiles left over and he threw away the boxes and doesn't have the batch number for a perfect match. He got a single tile but the difference of batch made it stick out big time. When I say minute scratches I mean barely visible but if the light is right ( or wrong rather! ) these can just be seen. The only other tile I know as bad as this is some Knight Tile Woodplanks. I'm of the opinion all LVTs will mark easily to some degree ( except Amtico maybe ) but the texture of the wear layer the aforementioned Karndean reflects the light in a certain way and shows up every tiny mark. This may be fine for commercial applications but many domestic jobs will be scrutinised and possibly rejected if not perfect. I'm not going to push these due to this reason. Has anyone had a similar experience at all?
Did a bathroom in the opus a while back mate. Light was bouncing off it too. Didn't look great. Hard to see but they had a few Little marks in them.
