    Hello All,

Many thanks for the info so far on my project.

I didn't see this forum covering sub floors...excuse the pun!

One of the floors I'm working on needs to come up approx 140mm to meet others, and I'm looking to insulate and add UFH within this height...see drawing
It's all a floating floor on top of a good suspended floor, and I'm contemplating a 5mm latex on the 6mm depending on cost etc.

One of the fitters I'm talking to said I should try and secure the whole thing down onto the existing suspended floor, to make it "not float' so much. Is that necessary or is it OK as long as there is enough expansion space left around the edges of the floor..ie under skirting ?

I can only think I might be able to screw through the 18mm T&G Chipboard, but that would break the membrane I'm putting in with the taped celotex.
