For anyone with a iPhone / iPad

    Some good work apps

I use note master for my job measures which when I sync it from my phone it gets sent to my iPad & laptop for me to edit and price up. You can add pictures too

Also I use 2do as my diary for dates of jobs so never forget where I am or going.
Really handy for me, I don't always have my diary to hand but my phone never leaves my side.

Anyone else got some useful apps

Apps what a load of rubbish call me old fashioned but what is wrong with pencil and paper, its a bit like NASA spending millions of dollars to develope a pen that works in zero gravity who cares the Russians just use a pencil and paper.
Its the sales pitch that goes with all these fancy phones today I hate, when the spotty only just out of school sales lad comes over and starts spilling all his dribble about what the phone can do, bored not listening fella look can I still make a phone call and can I still send a text message yes but you can do this and that to I don't care about all that other stuff it does ITS A PHONE and thats how it should stay we are becoming to reliant on electronic gizmos. Pump some nuerons and start using your brains everyone before you become brain dead.

An app is a programe you can download for 'smart phones'

Basically you may want to download a app to find B&B's if you work away alot. I use this, i will get to where i am and then click on the program on my phone and it will search all B&B's in the area and supply me phone numbers. Its handy for me as when i turn up to assess fitters i dont know what area we will be working in.

Another example of a good app, i downloaded a london tube map. So when im in london i type where i want to go into the phone and it will tell me what buses or tubes i need to get and how much it costs me to get where i want to go. Again handy for when im working in london and left the car parked outside of london, got a lift off the fitter to the job and need to get back to my car on my own.

Matt does it allow for down time signal faliures and enginering works, I just pull out my map find my destination and see what changes I got and count the stops and minimise the changes and either use my oyster card top up or buy a one day travel card giving you the freedom to use dlr, overground, underground or the bus.

Im sure it can, you can get apps to give you live updates and diverstions. The thing with apps is, if you can think of something you would like to know, you type it in and there will be a app to tell you what ever it is you want to know!
