I am due to move into my new build bungalow probably after xmas now and I have been looking at a range of flooring for my kitchen, utility room, bathroom & en-suite. I have already decided on Grant Westfields Twin Click flooring for my bathroom & en-suite because my friend has it in her bathroom as says it's fab stuff to lay & is waterproof etc., so I sent off for a couple of samples and I really like one of the oak one's. I just discovered Moduleo flooring yesterday & have a brochure it reads like fantastic stuff but today I have googled it and the reviews are awful!!! I would like karndean parquet flooring in my hallway which is L shaped. I considered proper hard flooring tiles in my kitchen & utility room as I have a labrador and a border terrier so really I need non slip, scratch resistant flooring suitable for the dogs and so I can mop clean. As soon as I read the brochure for MODULEO the Transform stuff I was impressed with the scratch resistant, no stain etc and dog proof lol The builder of my bungalow is offering to lay Jewsons brand of laminate flooring in my family room and hallway but I have laminate & real wood flooring in my current house and the dogs just skid all over it. I have hard floor tiles in my kitchen which are great for mopping and large spills of dog bowl water etc., plus I can use detergent in the water when mopping. I know this thread is a lot of asks but because this house move is going to be my final one I really would like to get everything as right as can be and I am hoping the flooring I decide on my builder can get it for me then I can pay the price without VAT because he can claim VAT back on his new builds where as I can't. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, Cheers Trish
Hi and welcome, Your builder will charge you vat within his price as it's the law. As for other questions, you're better off to get someone local within the flooring trade to pop in.
