Got a floor coming up in a few months. Normal garage floor. Looking to have laminate or engineered.
Rough has no DPM, is quite rough concrete.

Saying they don't want digging up and a new sub floor.

Was thinking grind off till smooth.
2 coats epoxy DPM onto bricks up to wall DPC
    Screed
    Underlay
    Wood.

Any other ideas of problems with my idea?

If it was me Daz, I would put Down a bit of latex screed to smooth off a visqueen dpm, tape it up wall a couple of inch, fit the laminate combi ulay , cheaper than the epoxy I can't see you needing all that prep for a floating floor.
