If you read the past threads you will see that Matt has mentioned it at least on a couple of occasions that it is suitable for UFH,so the answer is a resounding yes.It is better to use than HT as i have used that info and taken it on board.

The problem in conservatories is not the adhesive used but the way the flooring is conditioned. The flooring 'must' be installed colder than the rooms average temperature.

If you install the flooring warm then it will shrink. If fitted the other way around it will simply grow and close gaps up nice and tight. Worse case is that it could lip a plank up if it got really warm in there. If that's the case on F46 the plank can be trimmed. But it really is the responsibility of the home owner to not allow floor temps to get so high that it will affect the flooring.

F46 is also approved to go over underfloor heating over HT. Have a little think about that one ! Makes HT pointless.

sorry, F46 is not recommended . Apparently

But do some maths for me.

HT adhesive is recommended where there is strong sunlight as the surface temp of the floor will heat up ? yes?

    BUT

HT Adhesive is not recommended where there is underfloor heating that the product is being heated up ? yes?

Can you tell me what the difference is between the two situations regarding temp of product please ?

So lets look at F46, it can be used over underfloor heating. But in a area of sunlight heating a area they recommended using HT adhesive, as above they floor is going to reach same temps. So WHY have both but recommended different adhesives for different situations ? ?

underfloor heating is a constant heat usually, but direct sunlight areas have intense heat and sometimes very quickly then can cool down rapidly too..

Providing it it used correctly it should only change by max 3c per day. It is only a constant heat when it is running or turned off . It is also one of our biggest complaints on inspections involves underfloor heating. Normally due to install error or consumer error. We all no that it dont get used correctly. IE teh surface temp in the day may be 27c but at night when it turns of it could be a lot colder. Maybe 10c in the summer !

But ignore that anyway. The HT adhesive 'apparently' stops the product moving. I know for a fact that it does not tho. As HT has such a small open time then when the LVT etc still moves on it and you complain you will be told you fitted outside of the open time. Its all a load of crap.

As for F46, well this does work well as when it gets warmer it grabs stronger ! Also you need to use the correct way.

Still, forget the glues, its the product that is moving and its moving for a reason and that is heat. The complaint is never that it grows and now it all fits nice and tight ! The complaint is that it has shrunk. For it to shrink the product must of been in a expanded state when installing. So basically fitted to warm!

Here is a question for you all.......

What adhesive do you use in a conservatory that has underfloor heating ?

that's because the installer has left it in the room it is to be installed which is correct in certain circumstances imo, i never leave mine in the conservatory always in the adjacent room, never had a problem with mine... always use HT in conservatories and 46 everywhere else. But I only do 2 rows at a time and use a mini roller as i go.
Right or wrong it works for me and not one complaint, well not that I've been told about anyway...

So you leave the flooring in a cooler area then?

If so that is why you dont have issues. Just for reference, if you use a hand roller your warranty is void with HT adhesive ;)

What annoys me is that the manufactures say to acclimatise to the room. So in a conservatory for instance you may acclimatise to temps very high. The flooring will shrink when it cools down. Its daft.

Daz, F46 is recommended over underfloor heating. Not HT.

Does that make sence to you?

And yes, the warmer F46 is the better it sticks. But that dont mean to heat the floor up LOL

Possible. You mean the Pressure sensitive one the same as F46 but with a little added bonus to the glue. (Not sure if i fully understand what the added bonus does yet. )

SO what's the procedure for getting a plank up that has been stuck on 46 if it needs replacing 1 month later
