Exakt have a new saw the Exakt Deep cut saw which they say will cut up to 26mm depth (not that I think 1" is very deep penatration) The Saw is able to cut wood composites plastic ceramic tiles and they clame 12mm of aluminium but to be honist I think with a blade whick is only about 4" I think they would not last very long.
