Hi, any help with this would be much appreciated. Laid six loads of arditex NA onto concrete floor over old bitumen yesterday, in rows keeping a wet edge. Five loads have dried out well, smooth and hard. But just one load in the middle is still soft to touch. This load, when laid, was a lighter colour to the rest and had a noticeable difference. Looked a bit like slurry. It was mixed the same as all others. Bottle shaken, mixed well with paddle. Has been left over night to dry, eight hours so far. I'm a competent diyer, having to take on a couple of extra jobs during lockdown. Kitchen arriving soon. Many thanks in advance for any advice.
Update. 5 hours on, the Arditex has hardened and set just like to others but is still light and has the wrinkled edges. Would like to know anyone's thoughts as to why this happened. I thought maybe that this area was over worked.
How long did you mix each bucket for? I've had similar but not with NA. Does eventually dry unless water has been added to it then can turn out like this but if you have just done a straight bag & bottle mix it could be down to a bad batch.
It was straight bag and bottle mix, mixed until smooth. It has dried hard now, 24 hours later. Could be a bad batch, four bottles from one batch and two from another. Thanks for your reply Rugmunching.
