Got an integral garage floor to screed and just wondered how to proceed. House is 2yrs old, nothing being fitted on top of screed but customer may decide to paint it at a later date...just being used to store car.

So, am I wrong to assume that it has a dpm under it like the rest of the house or does it need one?...and what screed should I use that’s tough enough for a wear layer to take the vehicle? Was thinking balls 850 or Ardex k301?

Thanks in advance for any input

I've been doing a fair amount of garages the past several months and the ones that were converted to a bar/gym with sheet vinyl or lvt I've damp proofed as a precaution and bonded with ardex's 1k adhesive.

I had to relevel a couple and used k301 and the customer has painted over it.

I've had a few that have had insulation put down and a chip board overlaid so I've just 6mm plyboarded.

If its just for a car and no covering apart from paint then I'd just throw some k301 over it

    Ardex k301 or Murexin fma30
