the idea around flex screeds is they do actually crack. But the fibres hold them together. If no fibres then there is nothing to hold them together.
yep, caused by it drying and as the compound is now weaker it leaves stress cracks. Normally bigger than 'hairline'
many compounds can have hairline cracks without issues providing the compound is still bonded. Providing its not hollow sounding when tapped there...
