what width boards are going down now? personally i'd apply a slurry then re-screed, surface membrane then p990 1k the boards down.

Do they say that can be used over rising damp ? At what thickness? 25mm + if bonded maybe? Either bond with a slurry wet on wet 25mm thick...
Either bond with a slurry wet on wet 25mm thick screed, or use sheet dpm with 35mm thick screed.
I'd always recommend Mapei's products, Mapeproof 1k turbo or ESM surface membrane, Latexplan/Ultraplan Maxi/Renovation Screed, Ultrabond P990 1k...

or use Uzins NC 194 Turbo, sets quickly and built in DPM. ;) then prime and use NC 174 or NC 145 over the top.
Kerakoll are made about 2 miles from Mapei in Italy, decent enough gear but more expensive than Balls or Mapei.
Try JHS part of Headlam, they do have quite a few with smaller patterns Wilton and Axminster contract grade not cheap though.
Same with us stitching joins rather than plating or heat seaming in high quality carpets.

Time wasters are abundant at the minute mate, but if the paperwork was set up how did they get out of it, once signed becomes a legally binding...
i dont know why they wont accept it done in a single piece, much more difficult to do it right and get it really tight.
What are you fitting? If they'll pay for it go for Marine ply by far the most stable.
Miles easier to fit that way, plus you'll know it's going to last ;)
