Whip them old skirts off Long handled scraper to flip the tiles up Providing you have no moisture issues (get it tested) then minimal screed coat...
They'll most likely rub it down before they go ahead fitting so give them the chance to sort it before you jump on their backs as they walk...
What kind of trade you in? As long as you spec it right and have the right materials to hand then let a floor pro do the rest. Sounds easy on...

I'd defo leave it another couple weeks minimum then get the readings off it but being that soon still I'd use an epoxy regardless.
