Mate I've done same before lol I spent an hr messing around and was felt like smashing the island to pieces. Alot of patience required defo :D
I generally do the same by dry fitting round both sides, not right up to the point where you turn but about half way then jig it around abit if...

Probably up to 2 to 3 weeks sometimes, tube goes rock hard... I've used the screw nozzle off one of my turbo's and swapped it over to a flexi few...
It does last but found not as long as turbo
Tried that, never works for me
Yeah I found that aswell but flexi tends to not last as long when you only use half a tube whilst turbo stays alive for ages in the tube

Flexi fix/sticks like turbo would do the job I bet
