rubber is the work of the devil mate, the pvc or lvt's can be nice to work with although if you've no experience with them give them a wide berth...

I've done Ardex's and BAL's training courses, similar to mapei's mainly adhesive use etc... and did a college course donkeys ago mostly hands on...
they are quite a basic twist pile, for what you're willing to spend primo plus/stainsafe heathers/stainfree ultra would be decent'ish for you

tools can be pricey, but same with everything get the prep right and the rest is easy....
yep for similar money seems a no brainer to me, although i prefer to sell mflor and project floors at the minute yet to get any issues with them
it's not selling brilliantly but in the same price range as karndean ie knight tile it is superior
the concrete really needs digging up and replacing with a working dpm, after minimum of 4 weeks you can surface dpm, prime then do a floorlayers...
the quality control is much higher at the moment, also mflor is manufactured to the highest standard i've seen since the old karndean 10yrs+ ago.
Lifestyle carpets are rebranded carpets from other manufacturers and slightly dearer than the original depending on which carpet you're looking at...
within this price range for JUST the carpet you can get a reasonable polypropylene carpet like cormars primo plus depending on how many people...
