that's not a carpenter who's fitted that it's a joiner (carpenters understand wood joiners are prats lol)
Really should be plyd then fibre reinforced screed over everything to make floor fit for install, 2mm discrepancy over 1mtr is maximum recommended .
Polypropylene is a closed fibre so scotch guarding has no use, whereas wool is an open fibre which absorbs the scotchguard into it's fibre...
