Sounds to me that added some water to the ardex NA mix
60 years old prob no damp proof membrane under it Pour a unit of ardex NA on the concrete Then a Coat of ardex DPM1c new laminate or LVT

How deep are they? You could use ardex NA with granno chips
How much water did he add? Half a cup would be ok
We cut them for £20
As Paul said. Can’t go wrong with quickstep. Impressive and signature look like real wood
Forget NA for this as the cost per bag will be very high. Ardex K40 HB will be better to use and flows better.
