You could try out ova glue in the joint. Wipe the top then get some heavy weight on it. Hopefully the joint will stick together.
We tend to put a small thin bead of clear on vinyls.
Are they employed fitters or sub contractors ?

Cut a few rows of Lvt in. Lift up glue out and put in. They do the next rows.
