We do a lot of Abingdon ultra and find it’s a great carpet. Not used the other one.
If old asphalt then you shouldn’t use P4 but if you degrease it you can. if using NA then straight to it no primer If using CL prime it with P4
Yes Asphalt that’s so don’t use a water mix. Go with ardex NA or CL on that. Prime with ardex P4

Building up 20mm I’d go with 18mm plywood or 18mm MDF
