I always use ke49 or 66, 2000s in my experience with lvt work just gaps especially on the headers no matter using it as a wet set.

We use a Squirty mop to keep on top of ours and a decent mop when we give it a real good clean, sometimes hand & knee job if the dogs have caked...
Oh dear.. You could try some of fballs barrier foam or even foam and double sided tape
