I'm laying 14mm, woven strand click bamboo ( floating with underlay)in 2 adjoining ground floor rooms. The customer wants a seamless finish/ no threshold between the two (large double door so no issues). The rooms are similar size , overall about 50m square. However, one room's subfloor is original 18mm flooring boards, all sound. The other is 18mm plywood. All on sound floor joists. They are therefore the same height but different surfaces. Ply the whole area? 6mm or get away with thinner? Client at the top of budget. Thankyou for any input/ experience.
