Hi all, On a job I carried out before Xmas I believe one one the young labourers that work for me may have trodden sum rapid set into a very cheap loop pile carpet. This has obviously gone off and pile/loops in a tiny patch have as expected gone rock hard, My question is, is there anyway of removing/breaking down the rapid set in this small patch Saving me replacing a 9m x 5m piece of carpet?? Any help gratefully received!! ;0) Nick
best give them a call Tel: +44 (0) 1538 361633 There is no cleaning instructions apart from clean immediately
Napping shears, although with a loop pile it probably won't work. I had the same prolem when a letting agent walked in the flat, trod in the rapid set and onto a natural carpet. I cut a small amount out but luckily I left it in their court as nobody should have been walking around till I was finished and he didn't say anything, I just noticed it after he had gone.
As oddbod said try a solvent like white sprit first then on to acetone ( nail vanish ) but try it first out of the way just it case it takes out the colour, acetone is very strong and will even take out the odd scratch in vinyl, it melts it
