I am trying to figure what flooring to install in my 1930s house. Currently the ground floor is carpet and the original floorboards with concrete in the kitchen.

The living room is the floorboard, and its way too cold in the winter.

Also I will be extending the house.

I have a budget of about 2.5k and about 70sqm of space.

What are my options and how should I go about the extension to ease the flooring laying process and maximise warmth.

I was quite keen on polyfloor for everything, but I think this option is out of my budget.

my wife wants tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, because she thinks its easier to maintain and waterproof.

Also thinking maybe some sort of laminate would be more within my price range.

I'm in Morden, so if anybody can help with any advise on options and costing, it would be much appreciated. As well as the best way of finding a fitter

    thanks

Hi as for budget and flooring choices every fitter will charge differently so what one puts on here will be diff to one that comes to yours to measure up as for a fitter theres a find a fitter section just up the top on the left hand side hope this helps
