Hi all......does anyone have an opinion on which types of carpet to use for underfloor heating? In the past I have recommended low weight wool berbers/twists but I need to find more information on this as my customer wants a total tog rating of no more than 2.5. Your thoughts would be appreciated!
I always use a low tog rubber....however I've never really thought about adhesives, I've just used standard tackifiers and F3 for double sticking! Any thoughts on that would also be useful......
You could use cloud 9 radiance underlay which you can use for double stick insulation or stretch fit . F40 can be used on floors with underfloor heating and so can f3 on normal under floor heated floors
almost all cormar ranges now come with tog ratings, roma's tog rating is 0.80 from memory so that would leave you 1.70 tog for carpet, I assume it's because your client has underfloor heating?
I think victoria and brockway have low tog ratings? Check their websites. One really good thing about solent wholesale, they put the tog rating on the sample cover on a lot of their carpets
Yes mate, good company. Get alot of the brockway and victoria stuff from them. Bit tight on the account tho! The cuts are always in good condition and rolled shortways sometimes. Do some good clearance offers
Most carpets from balta are fine, tuftex twist for a cheapy very low tog less than 1, I've always used heatflow though 0.75 tog gives loads of scope nobility is a good one 1.3 tog primo ultra is only 1.3 ish too
