Why is it that on jobs like this there's never a complaint.
I had to screen off and paint a badminton court today, after screening it really highlighted the problem but you could see it before you started really.
They must of gone over it on a 50g and left it.

Thats why i lose jobs ,because i cant compete with people that think that is acceptable. If thats a fifty i would still have to 80, edge.100,ROS
Then Multi Disc before coating. You get what you pay for,if your willing to pay proper money and someone told me that was acceptable i'd tell them to start again.

I know what you mean, one of my clients tried somebody else because she had already given me a lot of work ths summer, she isn't happy about it and asked me to explain why the joints are orange, look at the pictures, to me it looks as they haven't sanded all the old seal off before they coated, and they have ruined the entrance with an edger

    junckers beech prefinished...
Why would they change contractor just because they've given you lots??? not because they think they should share it around, they're just checking that your competitors are cheaper for a reason, mind you they may not be..... but the quality is....

No it's Tarkett pre finished that has had it's first sand, she didn't even ask me to quote so it wasn't about the cost, she knew i was very busy this summer, but I think it was a friend of one of her staff, who said he did it for a living, and she shared it out,

No she won't :D Which is good for me,
Had to do this temporary repair today for her, they took a cherry picker over the floor without putting down plywood, won't be doing that again either! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
Had to use a bit of Junckers beech until I can order the 22mm Tarkett, also had to sand the top as the heights are a little out

It's a strange 22mm Tarkett beech laid on new era cradles and nailed, its 22mm but only 4mm wear? this is in one school gym hall she looks after, the other one I think is the same wood but laid on foam for a small dance floor

When this happens i would like to be smug but i still lose out because i get called back and asked can i put it right? Client then says" but i can't afford to pay for a resand because i have already squared up the wa++kers and they won't come back. Can you just patch it & try & lose the edger marks."So i do because i want to keep in with them for the next job.I want to say bo++ocks but mine aren't big enough to do it.

she hasn't paid them yet, the rest of the floor isn't that bad but it was a pre finished wood in good condition, this was a ramp that was always going to be difficult as it goes up and down, but you would have done it the opposite way or by hand if you had a problem, not let someone loose with an edger, looks like a butchers block now !!!!
