Hi looking for advice on a 240v planer, only used to plane the odd door. Any ideas of good quality but not stupid money? Thanks in advance

£20 if one, more than one £15 each. Once set up the cut with the plunge saw takes seconds, and sooo neat.

Thanks for the advice looked at the bosch and also a makita, what plunge saws are you using and what sort of price are those? Do you use a rail with them or a guide?

Dewalt plunge saw and rail for me. If you are looking for a cheaper saw just for doors, scheppach do one and I think evolution have just brought on out.

I've got the bosch planer for trimming a little bit off the door and bosch cordless circular with rail for bigger sections off the door. Not a plunge saw tho.

Hi mate I've tried a few methods over the years and found using planers for trimming doors
A bit dodgy at times takes a lot of work to get it right
Buy a circular saw you wil get a nice straight clean cut
They are cheep and most of them are laser guided now for £40 odd
Hope this helps can be a good earner
