Due to a leaking radiator I had to uplift a solid wood floor that had blown this week. I had previously installed this using Sika adhesive and their silent mat system. It took me hours (for a relatively small area) to uplift and I hate to think how long it would have taken had it been a full stick-down. How does anyone else tackle a job like this?
What about the adhesive residue when it's on a dpm such as Sika MB or do you just use a very sharp scraper?
Depends on the job mate, if the subfloor is sound I've just scraped back the adhesive skimed over with Trade plan, 1k turbo, and stuck down. If its a dodgey subfloor it would have to come up.
