i enquired about the altro course as i havent done many over the years its £280 for a 2 day course including lunch and covers quite a bit.its based in letchworth herts and sounds good to me to learn something new maybe.
yes its a good course. Recommended by me.Its cheaper than Floorskills course but 1 day less ! Also as its a manufactories course it WILL be based around their products. Personally i would prefer a course that is not biased towards a product and you get to use a range of products from different manufactures like on a floorskills course. www.floorskills.co.uk I maybe classed as biased as i work for FloorSkills, but im confident our courses are the best. Word of mouth is getting around and we are pretty much booked up. If your thinking of doing a cap + cove / safety floor course in next couple of months we can add you on reserve list asap. We do have places come up as most colleges use us and book out blocks. If there are free spaces we offer these out and they do come up as our arrangement with the college is to notify us a fair few weeks in advance or we simply charge them ! (colleges dont like being charged so they soon let us know) However if you fancy using someone else then my second choice would be FITA training . fita as in the flooring industry training association. They are the most expensive but offer high quality training also and its not manufacturer based, just like FloorSkills. Please note that the ONLY APPROVED floor-coverings provider in the U.k that has real accredited courses is actually FloorSkills. When we say accredited , well a true accreditation is approved by the likes of Cskills - http://www.cskills.org/awards/qualifications_and_courses/accreditation_service/index.aspx If its not officially approved then its not worth the paper its written on. floorSkills courses are fully accredited by cskills Hope that helps
hi matt i fit safety on a daily basis so know how to install but thought about doing the course as its local and picking up a few tips,not knocking your course but its a bit of a trek with staying away just to see a few pointers really mate,wouldnt mind doing your lvt course tho as that sounds good.

as i said above, there courses are very good and i would recommend them personally. for me to recommend them when im a competitor should (i hope) show that i believe their course is very good.(not as good as ours tho LOL )
have done fita courses as well as manufacturer ones, but did a floorskills one last year and was the best i'd been on just missed the pub won't next time
