what is it with customers? i got a call at 10.30 this morning asking if i could fit only some carpet and wood for them tomorrow or saturday i said i can do saturday but not tomorrow.so she says great can you come round and give me a price so i said can be round at 4.00.so i get there at 3.45 flat is empty as there letting it out by 4.20 im still waiting so try calling straight through to voicemail in that 10 minutes i tried calling her several times with no success so at 4.35 i leave.i wouldnt mind to much but it was a 25 mile round trip and nearly 2 hours of my time complete wasters.ist like i had an email earlier in the week asking if i can provide a quote emailed straight back saying fine can do blah blah day no response unbelivable some customers but if your 5 min late there straight on the phone

I always tend to find that the "customer" that wants you there, or wants it done straight away, are the ones that **** you about.

Our trade would be great without having to deal with customers.

i have to admit i hate domestic and dealing with the crap you have to put up with i prefer commercial.yes you get crap on commercial waiting for builders, clearing everything out of the way etc etc but ive always done commercial from the moment i started this game but had to do domestics to bring the money in when i went on my own and still put up with it.my works about 50/50 tho with both sides

I prefer domestic too but that's mainly because I get paid on completion and don't have to wait weeks or even months

im pretty lucky on commercial most of the jobs are my own so get paid on completion when i sub i get paid within 14 - 30 days and never had a problem being paid up.ive had more trouble with domestic clients not paying to be honest
