Hello guys Have posed this question on another forum and did not have much luck so will try again,looking for a way of making the tiles feel warmer underfoot(suppose we could get a rug). Have 6 Sqm hall and intend to lay Marley Tarkett vinyl plank tiles,at the inner end of the hall the flooring is poured asphalt the rest being finished concrete to protect incoming services and is hard as nails the difference because a new front door frame was fitted and the old one removed so the asphalt was on the inside,intend to remove the asphalt and level with Cementone as there is a 3or4 mm difference between them and cover the whole area with5/6 mm wbp ply using f46 adhesive and then use f46 to fix the tiles,reason for the ply would be to give a warmer feel to the floor as we have MT tiles in the kitchen and it is a cold floor,there are no signs of damp in the house anyplace. Also if the ply option is ok although a pita cutting around stairs would it be best to lay in large as possible sheets to minimise joins or if strips staggered rows 90Deg to run of vinyl,any advice is gratfully received especially regarding adhesives,if the whole idea is pants or another alternative to ply is going i will be interested although trying to raise height as little as poss.

Could use jumpax, it has a foil backing and a foam underlay keeps the floor a lot warmer. Will raise the height 10mm tho
That Regupol looks like the answer as minimal height increase although when i saw what its made of had doubts but they say you can put ceramics over it so must be ok,did think about ufh but cost and energy prices going up decided against that route,will have to get it sorted smartish in case she changes her mind! wil let you know the outcome. regupol is good stuff we layed I massive block of flats in karndean with it underneath we layed it on the 45 degree Angle to eliminate a plank join falling on regupol join
Theres different thickneses we used the 6mm one weighed a bloody ton carrying up bloody stairs, thank god for nippers
