so long as flooring is secure and bonded 100%
then you can prime and screed the ceramics
    And ply the parquet
DONT screed the parquet, asking for trouble imo... Ply it lol
But as ive said, fingers need to be solid to the floor
If in doubt then rip the lot up and start anew

So if I pull them up, it will leave bitumen down , can I latex over that ok .? Also I'm assuming there is a Dpm under the blocks.?

the bitumen may be the dpm, i'd recommend cleaning direct to subfloor.

if you pull then up, then you need to get 99% of the bitumen off too
    Yup, nightmare lol
    As for dpm
    never assume anything lol:rolleyes:
    How old is the property?

Anything before '65 is 99% unlikely to have a dpm mate, soz
You can na over 'residual' bitumen, but have to get rid of 99% of it first

Method of getting rid of bitumen .? Also some one mention ply over the wood area ? Now I'm assuming that my spot nailer won't go through so glue the ply down then screed up to it? Customers seem to want the best but always plead poverty...

How thick are fingers? I guess 6mm ply plus 18mm staples.?

If the fingers are on screed they need to come up as their only about 10mm thick , if their on a wood subfloor you can ply over them no problem .

Fingers are only 10mm thick normally and if they have been covered with carpet I doubt they are all stuck. If there are any pipes under the blocks covering them up will cause issues.

I've taken bitumen off with a scrabbled, its a nasty job and pummels the subfloor.

I use an abrasion copper disc with a buffing machine, works a treat (though it does take a few minutes for your hearing to return!)
