Got to cut my mates wood floor. It's tight round fire place. Need to cut it back about 10mm. What's best tool to use
I did one last week where it was tight all round the room I cut down some 6mm ply about 7 wide then used that as a spacer and ran exact saw down the side of it nice straight lines then used fein for the last little bits on internal and external
Just measured my little Exact saw from the edge of the gaurd to the opp side of blade.....10mm. That would take you down 11mm and Fein the rest. Might be a problem getting at the switch though. My DC270 is 14mm on the same measure which would go all the way through
I would be reluctant to use an Exakt on that especially if it is an expansion problem. I've tried that before and the wood trying to move can pinch the Exakt saw blade. You might be better using a Festool plunge saw on that Daz.

Daz I will see what the minimum gap you can cut on my Festool is. If it will do 10mm you can borrow mine.

Because he fixed my boiler yesterday. For free. Another plumber wanted £150 I do nothing for free these days lol
