Had a bathroom to do today - plyed out and feather finished. Opened up the tub of adhesive to find the top covered in green mould! So after having a bit of a chuckle I rang the technical guys at Mapei. They asked for the batch number and production date - 7 October 2011!! - nearly 12 months old - I only bought it 2 months ago. I didn't check the date when I bought it to be honest but is there a legal position on this? Mapei were excellent and rang me back to tell me to order another tub from Carpet and Flooring and it would be foc. Things do go wrong but it is always the mark of a good company that they do something about it when it does.
yep mapei are an excellent company their customer service is exemplary, plus their products are very high quality and very keenly priced in relation to the other big manufacturers
