Bad things happening on this job. I did the conservatory today ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342472901.196817.jpg

But to save money he has done some rooms himself a couple of years ago.

The whole living room is lifting.
He said its the Ashpalt under the screed. He screeded himself not sure what with but he said the Ashpalt which is about 30 years old had loads of bumps in it. Sounds like a damp problem under it.

sounds like that to me mate, although if screeded without slurry coat you might get problems similar.

I'm starting to cringe a bit, is that damp or his dodgy screeding?

It's not the screed. I wanted to get more pics but didn't want him to see me taking them.
When you stand on it it's like bubbles.
Was going to take one up but he said after paying me today he will have to wait till after summer lol

It's hard to see in the pic but the planks are lifting at the corners

I looked at one last week where that had happend. It's a kitchen in the middle of a open plan room. Wood block all around it stuck on bitumen that's perfect but the Amtico in the kitchen has 2 spots about 1m2 that feel like bubbles. You can hear the screed under its blown. They want it ripped up and solid wood block put down but the customer wouldn't let me uplift the tiles to see what was under it as it would make too much mess!?

Ha ha. I did the hall, game room and kitchen about 6 years ago. He did the living rooms as he was out of work. No wonder he was watching me like a hawk. It's not great the fitting but don't think he's that bothered. The front room is flat though.
Will get loads of pictures when the job goes ahead so we can see what happened.

Does anyone like this colour? I think is horrible. Planks are different colours. These were 3 different shades. Some cut in one and some had to be back cut too.
