What buckets do u like? I have used the laybond ones for years but they break easy The mapei ones are good for measuring water as have measures on but break easy when banging old screed out. The f.ball ones I find the best as last ages as very tough. I am always taking wall tile and paint buckets for using with feather finish
I have a large white bucket from rafina holds 3x 25kg mixes mapei measuring buckets for water mixes ( borrowed from FLOORSKILLS thanks matt ) Ball micro coat buckets for 1 bag mixes or feather Rectangle bucket from b&q for dipping roller in And old f3 bucket with lid filled with water for keeping trowels in but need to remember to change water more not nice sticking hand in month old water with emulsified glue
itools bucket for mixing up to 4 bags at once 4 bags takes the pee tho so i work at 3 bags in bucket. You wont break a bucket i can assure you Measuring buckets i use mapie's Mixing skim or rapid i use B&Q cheap buckets.
Same as Matt. That iTools set up is absolutely brilliant - you can just chuck 3 bags all in, in one go (though not recommended)and you still get a great mix.
LOL, what happened mate ? The i had a bucket fail once (not a mapei one) and lernt not to mix in them thin buckets. They really are a measuring aid for your water.
Yeah I thought so, only ones cfs had in stock so had to use them. Me and my mate were both mixing up doing 100 m2 room and his one just popped half way through the room. Coverd his feet in latex, he was really pist I had given him those buckets, I thought it was hilarious
I use a tall plasterers bucket (thick proper one) and for feather use an old F500 tub and fill with water overnight and scrape the crap off next day (falls away easy)
I use the flex rubber buckets from the builders merchants they are great if you leave some screed in the bottom next day just bang the bottom and out it comes clean as a whistle. Steve
Yeah Steve I have a couple but find when I mix in them the screed has lots of lumps in it. Might just be me mixing crap
That's the one mate, B&Q and others are too thin and crack too easy and they are the right size for one bag. If there is waste of say 1/4 bag left over I put a black bin liner in a bucket and fill then come back next day and slides out nice and clean and into waste bin.
Sidney , please keep it clean. Your post edited along with others deleted . it was a month ago we was and still is i think getting sued due to similar. Regards Admin. Ps .......
is that the buckets with the rope handles with a metal clip holding the rope in place? If so i had x2 in the past fail and bucket drop and spill. If they are the same change the rope for longer with a proper knot in it rather than the metal clip
