A robot that measures up so I don't have to

A tool that cuts the carpet and tucks it at the same time

A blade that's sharp enough to cut thru Amtico in 1 or at least a blade that never blunts

A glue robot that finds its own way round a room and spreads glue

A dolphin knife that doesn't fall apart ( I don't think that will ever be invented or is it just mine )

A glue trowel that never wears down

 a glue robot, I like it. How about a robot that would just do the whole job from measure to fit

daft thing is in maybe 20 years there might just be.

Think about it, carpet comes with heat sensitive glue on the back. Robot rolls out and then goes around edge of room cutting in. Then while it hoovers it heats the glue on back of carpet that glues carpet to floor so no bubbles.

You wont be a carpet fitter any more but a robot delivery driver.

I think i just invented a new carpet

Ha, I reckon 1 of those little Honda robots will be taking over our trade soon. The Japanese probably already have them :D

I was thinking about this today, weird.

I forgot to pick my guillotine up today to cut the design strips down to 12" on a job tomorrow.
So can someone make a mini version just for cutting design strips. Like a sort of straight edge bar scriber tape measure thing.

actually daz, i have thought many times that i could do with feature strip trimmer. Just wide enough to take maybe 12 strips.
