Anyone use them? Was thinking of getting it in the near future?
If you use it, what can they do and is it worth paying for?

    Seems expensive.

I just opened new business account with Barcleys and i think they include this type of software. Also legal stuff etc @ 12 quid a month.

I use Quickbooks 2008 version. It is a free version and does all I need, cusomers, quotes, invoicing and balancing. Only thing they stopped the free email of quote/invoice to customer so just save and send as a PDF. I was with Barclays free business banking :?:   (not free) and they gave sage (far too complicated for me) but they were charging £30 a month for something I can (coughs) download. I am now with Santander business banking and it is totally free as you don't have any face to face contact with teller staff as everything is done throught the ATM (paying in cheques and money, they give a wee photocopy of everything electronically) Barclays are garbage, final nail in coffin when changed their hours to 9.30 - 4.30 Monday - Friday and I could not get to the bank for 3 weeks as was really busy, waste of time for a business.

Yep, I've been using Quickbooks for the last 4-5 years and would be happy to reccomend it.

I use it for invoicing, quotations, banking, paying suppliers etc etc. One of the biggest advantages I have found is for keeping track of VAT - it also does your VAT return for you.

The only downside for me is you do have to spend time entering all the data.

If you don't do this regularly it can become a real pain !

ha. Don't forget you can close off your books each quarter so that you don't post a vat receipt in the wrong quarter ie: previous. Also if you have a late invoice change the bill date to the first of next period date....
