Has anyone owned or used the GT 2000 extra wide carpet kicker from Roberts, I saw one online and was wondering if it was any good. Thanks.

    Harry.

That sounds more like a car GT2000 LOL sorry can't help ya there Harry got mine 18 years ago delux model Gripper Rods one I think or roberts. Need a new pad for mine now it was quite funny as I spotted a trail of small fragments of orange rubber all round the perimiter of the room and just couldn't work it out it was in every room, until I saw the underside of the pad and there is a small split in it.

    some where

Ye the wider head gives you better grip of the yarns so your less likely to slip.

Downside is there a bit bulky in a small bathroom.

that moment when your kicker slips and you lift it up and theres a hole in the carpet

102 quid inc vat with trade account from gj flooring on the web if that helps.
I'm thinking about getting one as I'm still using the the one I got when I first started 20 years ago ; I think it's a roberts but the makers name rubbed off a long time ago.....could be time to treat myself! ;)

Good morning just to set the record straight we sell this at £105 +vat so £126
the company mentioned above is £107.25 +vat so £128.70.
The tool in question is very good and we do sell a few, good rear pad and a wide head, all Roberts GT range are well worth the investment. And yes Matt is correct we do give an extra discount to members of this forum.

    Regards Rugrat

To be fair to RWS it should be the first port of call before any other outlets and remember it comes the very next day.

I don't want to tread on your toes Rugrat, but when you enter your discount code, which they give you when you open a trade account, it's £102, £111.35 with delivery (to correct my earlier mistake).
Would it be cheaper from you for a forum member? ;)

can vouch for this kicker, had it about 6 months now (bought from RWS).

Had the old roberts deluxe like jays one, and Crain 600 deluxe (current 600 deluxe not the old one which is identical to the old roberts deluxe) with power rods that connect through to the spike head which I didn't like very much. The GT feels much better and like MATT said it grips much better with the extra nap.
