Anyone know where I can get a really good pair of carpet shears from, I don't mean the 30 quid ones that flooring suppliers sell, but something with a bit more ooomph if you know what I mean. oh, and as my missus says, anything between ten and twelve inches will be fine.
i,ve got a pair , only used once and still in the vinyl sleeve, fairly heavy, i will measure them if you are interested young man
I don't really know to be honest. I've been working on my own for so long I'm a bit out of touch with what everyone else is using. When I started as a YTS boy I had a 12" pair, quite heavy that developed a light coating of rust over the years, but I put them somewhere safe a couple of years ago and now I can't find them.
Hi we stock scissors by a Sheffield company who have been making scissors since 1760, still owned by the same family and still being made by tradtional methords. I spent a full day on the workshop floor watching and chatting with the craftsman. These have a serated section which grips the carpet as the cutting blade comes down. They can be reset if required. this is a real top quality product. http://www.carpetfittersshoponline.co.u ... -297-p.asp hope you find this useful.
