Had a few days in Skeggy a short while back, hadn't been since I was a kid......what a sh1thole. I can honestly say I've never seen so many able bodied skivers pretending to be disabled in all my life....saw what I assume to be an entire family of five all in mobility scooters......all paid for with "disability" benefit.....everyone was covered in tattoos and drinking spesh in the streets, and carrying (rather than using) walking sticks....that, my hardworking friends, is where our taxes go...... .....rant over!
Yeah hate seeing that Sidney I love to get away as far as poss, not one for laying on the beach myself I'm more into culture and history and architecture as well as whats on the floor, who else does that the first thing I look at is the floor. When me and the misses were in the Philippines earlier this year I noticed carpet tiles in our room at Camp John Hay, I'm thinking these look vaugely familure so I start to peel one up yep I say same ones we laid at south thames college Interface all over the back the misses comes through from the shower horrified as it is a private members only hotel oops. Although the best bit of Vinyl tilling I've ever seen was in Tesco's yes Tesco's on the Island of Koh Samui in Thailand, it was some of the most intricate vinyl tiling I've ever seen curves, snaking lines, elipses, ovals, circles and straight lines. A closer look and it seemed they'd been cut by hand, they were either Marley europa tiles or Marley eclipse can't remember have to see the sample boards to jog my memory. Hat off it was a truly amazing piece of work. Sad aren't I.
Ha ha jay if your sad then so am I it's like a bad habit my misses gets annoyed as I've got to look at the floor when out got to see if the mitres on bars are good or if there are any ridges in latex under tiles I'm sure there more of you lot that do this aswell
I have a habit of looking at the floor and then looking at the ceiling. Some pretty impressive ceilings around that nobody seems to notice. I also have a habit of uplifting carpets to look at the prep in hotels etc LOL
We're not all sad we just take pride in our work and like to see if everyone else does thats why we check it out and start picking at it LOL.
Nothing wrong with Skegness Sidney been there myself when I was younger, just now I'm older I feel like traveling to all these far off places with wierd and wonderfull cultures and seeing life in their countries and experience what its like while I'm still fit and able. Thailand was awsome but most certainly for the single man the accomodation is cheap the food and drink are cheap and the women are even cheaper, although watch out for the lady boys I got caught out and theres a funny story should I spill the beans. mmmm.
