Today I did a repair to a floor I laid in 2009. They had the front room window taken out and wall repaired but anyway, the spacia was laid straight towards window ( should of took a picture ) had to repair about 20 planks. The old planks had black backing and the new ones light grey, ive seen this grey before The new spacia with the grey back was slightly longer by about 2mm and a faction less wide Pain in the arse fixing it but it looked good in the end. Why the different colours?
Thought so, does the top amtico get made over there. Easier to cut these days and had slot of problems with stepping in the herringbone. If fact sent aload back last years an edges weren't very good
I remember when this first came out they had so many problems with it cupping and it was discovered that they were making the backing out of recycled golf balls. In its raw form before production of the golf ball the material was stable and worked however when they tried to recyle it they discovered it had a memory and wanted to return to its origion state hence the cupping.
