A local ironmongers that i frequent has oodles of different tools, and one that caught my eye was a tool that will (try) to eliminate noisy subfloors.iT IS A hub-puller SHAPED TOOL slightly bigger than a circle cutter that sits onto the floor and a screw is screwed into the centre until tight (its countersunk),then the tool is yanked up snapping off the shank and head that is raised above the wooden floor. The beauty of this is that it can be used with carpets in situ and at around twenty quid it must pay for itself straight away.I will buy it and post pics on here but bear with me cheers.
